For Ravens' rookies, it's time to rise and shine.

With the NFL Draft in the rearview mirror, the Ravens being their three-day rookie minicamp on Saturday, with Sunday's practice open to the media.

It's an opportunity for drafted and undrafted rookies to make a strong first impression. Here are 10 mostly rookie-related thoughts on the Ravens, all in 50 words or less:

  • The Ravens got two instant impact rookies at the top of the draft last year with Nate Wiggins and Roger Rosengarten. This year's top picks, Malaki Starks and Mike Green, appear poised to do the same, and this weekend's rookie minicamp will be the first indication.
  • The Ravens' offensive line depth could be very solid for the next few years after drafting Emery Jones Jr. (third round), Carson Vinson (fifth round), and Garrett Dellinger (seventh round). Offensive Line Coach George Warhop can develop all three, none being rushed to start.
  • Vinson is the lone HBCU player selected in the 2025 draft. He hopes his journey from Alabama A&M to the NFL will inspire other HBCU athletes. Proud of his HBCU legacy, Vinson has never regretted not leaving for a bigger school.
  • Veteran Ronnie Stanley will be a solid mentor for the young offensive linemen this summer. It was clear Stanley enjoyed taking Rosengarten under his wing last season, often staying after practice to work on his technique. Stanley will do the same with his 2025 rookie linemates.
  • During an insightful interview on "The Lounge" podcast, General Manager Eric DeCosta reiterated how high Starks was on Baltimore's draft board. "We picked at 27 and he was much higher than that," DeCosta said.DeCosta said he was more nervous this year than past, but the Ravens got their guy.

761: Eric DeCosta Shares Insight Into Ravens' 2025 Draft

Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta joins team insiders Ryan Mink and Garrett Downing to talk about why he was more nervous in the first round this year, the genesis behind the Malaki Starks pick, his vision for Mike Green, the outlook on the five sixth-round picks, his reason behind two draft-day trades, the Mark Andrews trade buzz, and much more.

  • DeCosta also discussed the array of pass-rushing moves displayed by second-round edge rusher Mike Green, who had 17 sacks at Marshall in 2024. "Rushing the passer does require a strategy," DeCosta said. "It's like chess. You are trying to set your opponent up to beat him."
  • There's little doubt that fourth-round inside linebacker Teddye Buchanan has an opportunity to earn snaps on special teams. But if he's as good at pass coverage and blitzing as he was at Cal, his chance to earn defensive snaps will improve.
  • The much-anticipated NFL schedule will be released on May 14. Will the Ravens play on Christmas for the third straight year? How many primetime games will they have? Those answers and others will be coming soon.
  • Kyle Hamilton was a prep basketball star and played against Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves. I need to ask Hamilton if he kept Edwards from going off like he did against the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA playoffs.
